It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year! We always put our tree up on Thanksgiving day and start playing holiday music 24/7 as we begin to decorate! Being in Florida, we’re a little spoiled by warm weather year round. When we do get some cooler weather, I like to think we embrace it because it’s just part of the holiday season. We love double date nights with our best friends, but instead of just visiting each other’s homes, I partnered with Kahlúa to create something a little extra special for our double date night together: happy hour on the beach with cold brew martinis.
Cold Brew Martinis
Usually, I leave my husband to play bartender, but for this fun little night, I decided to try something new! I packed up a cooler with Kahlúa, cold brew, vodka, and ice to create some delicious cold brew martinis! As one of the most versatile liquors, it’s easy to come up with all kinds of cocktail recipes with Kahlúa. We keep it around the house for everything from happy hour to dessert and always pick up an extra bottle when we’re at ABC Liquors or Winn Dixie. Because a cold brew martini is so easy to make, it was the perfect option to bring along in a cooler. Please click on the image below to shop for Kahlúa.
Cold Brew Martini Recipe:
1 -part Absolut vodka
3-parts cold brew
It’s as easy as 1-2-3! All you have to do is fill a shaker cup with ice, add the ingredients, shake it up in a shaker for about 10 seconds (make sure you get the little bit of foam for the top for presentation), pour into a martini glass, and then garnish it with a few coffee beans. It’s both sweet and refreshing, so I was a proud bartender for the night.
Holiday Happy Hour on the Beach
I tossed some blankets, pillows, and holiday décor from home into the back of my car and set off to the beach to create a cozy, holiday-inspired happy hour on the beach! It was a little bit of a surprise for my friends, and I have to admit, it turned out so cute and gave me all the feels for the holidays. On top of that, golden hour is the best time to sip on cocktails and nibble on appetizers. As I started whipping up the cold brew martinis, I totally looked like a pro. They were so simple to make and such a hit among everyone. We had holiday music setting the tone for the festive oceanside date night. Our friends, Stephanie and Brandon, are brand new parents, so it was really fun being just us adults for a couple of hours.
For appetizers, we paired some apple slices, cucumbers, cheeses, and crackers with cold brew martinis. It was such a great way to shake up our normal routine. The four of us got to catch up on everything before all the real hectic holiday chaos begins. I’m so thankful for friends that feel like family. After all, the holidays are all about being with loved ones, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with good friends and delicious treats. Cold brew martinis will totally be my go-to recipe all season long. I can’t wait to serve them at a holiday brunch coming up, too!
Cheers to good times, great friends, and delicious drinks!
